Responsibilities:
• Deploy and monitor new servers and scripts, including alerting for critical metrics and system availability.
• Refactor and update legacy Python, Bash, and C/C++ code.
• Ensure rapid resolution of operational issues and maintaining the detector within its thermal operational range.
• Perform experimental shifts in the following roles:
- LEAD – Monitor all onboard AMS computers to ensure proper functioning, coordinate activities between AMS and the International Space Station (ISS), and manage daily command execution to support ongoing operations.
- DATA – Oversee the data flow between the AMS Payload Operations Control Center (POCC) at CERN and the AMS aboard the ISS, ensuring reliable and continuous data transmission.
- PM (Payload Monitor) – Monitor detector signals from the Time of Flight, the Ring Imaging Cherenkov detector, and the Electromagnetic Calorimeter to verify proper functionality and performance.
